Propane Generators
Jobsites and homes usually use
Propane Generators as well as natural gas, but the propane is more convenient and easier to store. Gasoline on the
other hand has a limited shelf life and in some cases has caused engine failure.
During hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes and other natural
disasters gasoline is hard to find, and it seems propane is more readily available as a natural gas to keep the
lights on for the rescue crews.
Gasoline will gum up the carburetor and so the engine on the
emergency generator may not function. On the other hand natural gas and propane will save time and money for the
do-it-yourselfer; your engine will run better in cold weather conditions and last longer. There are kits available
to change a gasoline generator into natural gas or propane.
Natural gas is dependable, does not go stale like gasoline,
and is available in unlimited supplies. It provides your generator with longer, uninterrupted clean burning fuel
that will also extend the life of the engine.
Guardian standby generators are known to be the number one
standby propane generators especially since during a power outage they will automatically supply electricity to
pre-selected circuits. Many Guardian standby generators are pre-wired and pre-packaged, affordable and easy to
install. There is a 2 year warranty on most 7000 watt generators including an automatic transfer
switch.
The great thing about propane is that it will not go bad and
you can store it for a long time. There are 5, 24, 250, 500 and 1000 gallon propane tanks available for purchase
and future use.
